Royal Elastics goes indie! The elasticated shoe company, formerly owned by K-Swiss, has flew from the nest. they recently did a photoshoot at our studio in Los Angeles. more to come..

Royal's International Website, ROYAL ELASTICS DOT TV, is up! You'll notice some similar elements throughout the Freshtech Knight animated spot, this new website, and the print campaign, as we were trying to build a fairly cohesive brand for them this year. so we got the OK to PR these print ads we did for Royal's next ad campaign, featuring many of the shoes for this year's new releases. we are talking about first and third quarter releases so don't get too excited - some of these styles and colourways may not drop for a good few months. photography - Zen Sekizawa

Nanospore x ROYAL ON MAIN

not quite sure if they actually put this up, but we made a huge 10 foot [maybe?] display for the Royal Elastics flagship shop up on Main st., Royal on Main. this layout [featuring the characters from the Homogeny collab] is actually used in one of the print ad pieces we've designed too for an upcoming 3rd quarter '09 release skate shoe, the Flotsam- which i quite like. keep an eye out for that and several more to come in the next few weeks.

Royal Elastics + Nanospore = FRESHTECH

alas! we've completed our :30 animated spot for Royal Elastic's newest seasonal campaign, FRESHTECH. the shoe featured here is the Knight, as they've got the whole middle age theme on the shoe names going on. 

FRESHTECH is the New Bermuda Triangle Vortex. And NATURE and TECHNOLOGY are its missing travelers. It's shrouded in mystery, and one rarely knows what's going on. In those instances that you do, we give u a glimpse of the sexual [yes, it's somewhat sexual but sfw] synergy that happens within.

Sean Starkweather contributed to a portion of design and practically animated the entire thing on his own. check his site.

HOMOGENY, a collaboration with ROYAL ELASTICS

HOMOGENY is collaboration between Nanospore and Royal Elastics - set for a Fall '08 release. it features our little nameless friend, which serves as a symbol of the similarity in structure between organs or parts, possibly of dissimilar function, that are related by common descent. Light and dark. Color and monochrome. Land and sea. Love and hatred. Joy and pain.

Royal Elastics Freshtech and the Knight
